Barcelona beat Man Utd in Rome last night, to be crowned Champions
of Europe for the third time in their history...

And your Champions League season came to an end with a couple of
winning bets!

Our Booking Points stats made a profit in the final. And both our
early-season Top Scorer selections paid off, with Lionel Messi
landing the Top Scorer award and Steven Gerrard coming in second.

The stats highlighted two 'recommended bets' for us in yesterday's
email. We landed a winner on the Bookings, and you would've got
your money back on the Corners options by placing the 2/1 saver
bet. Making it a profitable night in Rome...

  Blue Square and 888 Sport" - WON

Referee Massimo Busacca showed 4 yellow cards in total - with the
last of them coming in the final minute of the game for a foul by
Man Utd defender Nemanja Vidic. Bets on Over 30 or Over 35 Booking
Points and Over 3.5 Cards all paid out as winners last night.

CORNERS - RECOMMENDED BETS:

• "Under 10 Corners @ 5/4 (2.25) with William Hill, 6/5 (2.20)
  with Boylesports or 11/10 (2.10) in general" - LOST

ALSO:

• "As a saver bet, stake half as much on '10-12 Corners
  Inclusive' @ 2/1 (3.00) with William Hill or Boylesports" - WON

There were 11 corners in the game, so our recommended saver bet on
'10-12 Corners' paid out. Following the staking advice of 'half as
much on 10-12 corners' you will have broken even on those corners
bets.

For example:

£10 on Under 10 Corners @ 5/4 = £10 loss
£5 on 10-12 Corners @ 2/1     = £15 return
 
In that example, you'd have staked £15 overall on the corners bets
- and returned £15.

The stats made a profit from the final last night - and our Top
Scorer selections from earlier in the season also settled as
winners...

Another fine Messi!

We recommended Lionel Messi at 9/2 each way and Steven Gerrard at
8/1 each way in the Champions League Top Scorer market.

• Back in November, when we originally highlighted Messi and
  Gerrard, the best odds were on offer at Blue Square - with
  each way terms of 1/4 the odds for 1,2,3,4 places.

Here's the final Top Scorer chart:

Both bets made a profit - Messi won 'outright' at 9/2 and Gerrard
was 'placed'...

For example:

£10 on Messi win @ 9/2 = £55 return
£10 on Messi each way = £21.25 return
Total stake = £20
Total return = £76.25
Total profit = £56.25.

£10 on Gerrard @ 8/1 = £0 return
£10 on Gerrard each way = £30 return
Total stake = £20

Total profit = £10.

Messi was already clear in 1st place before last night's game, and
his 70th minute goal - his 9th of the campaign - was the icing on
the cake. Liverpool were knocked out in the Semi Finals, but
Gerrard had already bagged 7 goals by then.

again at the start of next season.
