up a Chelsea v Barcelona Semi Final clash at the end of the month…

All the action came at Stamford Bridge last night, where Chelsea and
Liverpool played out an 8-goal thriller. The stats gave us an ‘Over 2.5
Goals’ winner there – but our ‘high goals’ figures didn’t come good in
Germany.

Overall we had a mixed bag of results, with our two ‘recommended bets’

game was a pretty low-key affair in the end.

Both teams also had strong 'early goals' stats, but the First Goal didn't
come until the 2nd half.

Liverpool had by the far the higher First Card stats out of the two
teams, but Chelsea defender Ivanovic picked up the first booking in the
28th minute when he gave away a penalty.

We faired better in the 3 other markets we looked at…

Liverpool +1 Corner Handicap paid out at Evens (the corners score was 4-
4). And Over 2.5 Goals won with ease – there were a whopping 8 goals in
the game. That bet that was available at 11/10.

Liverpool Draw No Bet was void, so you would’ve got your money back on
that one. In a topsy-turvy game, Liverpool were winning 2-0 at half time,
losing 3-2 with 10 minutes left, then winning again with one minute left
– before eventually drawing 4-4.

Chelsea and Liverpool tear up the form book…

There were more goals scored between Chelsea and Liverpool last night
than there have been in EIGHT previous meetings added together …

Over the two legs between Chelsea and Liverpool this season, there were
12 goals scored. Those teams played each other home and away in the
previous four Champions League seasons in a row – and there were only 7
goals scored in TOTAL.
