The Quarter Final line-up was decided last night...

Barcelona, Manchester United, Porto and Arsenal joined Liverpool,
Bayern Munich, Villarreal and Chelsea in the last 8.

Just like last season, all 4 Premier League teams - Man United,
Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal - have made it through to the
Quarter Finals, where they can now be drawn against each other.
Bookies paid out on 'all 4 English teams to qualify' at odds of 5/2
this week.

The Quarter Final draw will take place next Friday (20th) in Nyon -
and I'll email it to you as soon as the names come out the hat.

Manchester United and Barcelona remain favourites with the bookies
to win this season's competition at 11/4. You can view the latest

Back to last night's action...

Last night's results

We recommended 3 bets last night, here's how they got on...

Man United 2 Inter Milan 0

Corners = Man United 3 Inter Milan 3

Recommended Bet:

  • Man United '-2 Corner Handicap' @ 4/5 - LOST

Last night was the first time this season that Manchester United
have failed to win the most corners in a home Champions League
game. In fact you have to go as far back as their opening group
game of the 2006/7 season for the last time Man Utd failed to 'out-
corner' their opponents.

Barcelona 5 Lyon 2

Corners = Barcelona 6 Lyon 1

Recommended Bet:

  • Barcelona '-3.5 Asian Handicap Corners' @ 19/20 - WON

Backing Barcelona with a '-3.5 Corner Handicap' has paid in 100% of
their home Champions League games this season. Our Head-2-Head data
got it exactly right as Barcelona won 5 more corners than Lyon last
night.

Porto 0 Atletico Madrid 0

Booking Points = Porto 20 Atletico Madrid 20

Recommended Bet:

·         Atletico Madrid to be the 'Team with the Most Booking Points'
@ 10/11 - LOST

·         Saver bet on the Booking Points 'Tie' @ 4/1 - WON

There were 2 Yellow Cards shown to each side in last night's game
(20-20 Booking Points). If you followed our advice on the 'Saver'
bet regarding the Booking Points 'Tie' you would have come out
level.

9/2 Messi scored again...

It's been a good week for our two Top Scorer selections.

Steven Gerrard (backed at 8/1 or 7/1 each way) bagged 2 goals on
Tuesday, and Lionel Messi (9/2 each way) scored for Barcelona last
night.

Here's how the top of the Champions League Scorer chart looks this
morning...

Player (and Club)

Goals

Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)

7

Miroslav Klose (Bayern Munich)

7

Lionel Messi (Barcelona)

6

Lisandro Lopez (Porto)

6

Messi is now the bookies' 7/2 favourite, and the odds on Gerrard
have also been cut - he's down to 5/1. You can check out the latest
Top Scorer odds here...

http://odds.sportsbettingxtra.co.uk/football/champions-league/

Having backed both Gerrard and Messi 'Each Way,' those bets are
looking in good shape. Depending on the bookie you bet with, you'll
have got 'place' terms for the top 3 or 4 places. At present both
our picks are in the top 3.

Cash-in on the next 9 match-days...

There are 9 more Champions League match-days to come this season -
between now and May - and we'll be looking to cash-in on all of
them.

I'll write to you again next Friday with full details of the
Quarter Final draw and the latest odds...

Best wishes,

Matt Nesbitt
