Man Utd beat Barcelona 1-0 at Old Trafford last night, securing a
1-0 aggregate win and setting up the first ever all-English
Champions League final in Moscow next month...
Here are last night's stats:
Manchester United 1 Barcelona 0
Corners Result: 5-4
Man Utd to win the Most Corners @ 4/9 - WON
Or, Man Utd -1.5 / -2 Corner Handicap @ 11/10 - LOST
Man Utd have won the Most Corners in 100% of their home Champions
League games now. They led the corner count for the entire game,
although a late rally from Barcelona - who were desperate for a
goal - stopped the Corner Handicaps from winning.
Bookings Result: 20pts-30pts
Barcelona to win the Most Bookings Points @ 20/21 - WON
Or, Barcelona to get the Most Cards @ 10/11 - WON
The stats showed Barcelona as the team most likely to collect the
most Bookings, and that's the way it panned out. Man Utd got 2
Yellow Cards (20 pts), Barcelona got 3 (30pts).
Goalscorers
Carlos Tevez to Score at Anytime @ 11/4 - LOST
Tevez started the game in place of the injured Wayne Rooney, but
didn't find the back of the net despite a tireless performance up
front. United midfielder Paul Scholes got the only goal of the game
in the 14th minute.

Now for tonight's action...
Chelsea and Liverpool once again lock horns in tonight's 2nd leg
encounter at Stamford Bridge. Avram Grant's men have the advantage
after scoring an away goal at Anfield in the 1st leg. Both teams
will be desperate to face Manchester United in the Final on the
21st May in Moscow.
We've previewed tonight's game for you and selected the standout
stats using our unique Head-to-Head tool (available on the
website). The game is live on Sky Sports 2, and you can follow all

1st leg result: 1-1
How it stands - after the 1st leg...
John Arne Riise's own goal in the 94th minute at Anfield has given
Chelsea the advantage in this all English Semi Final. That away
goal could make all the difference when these two clubs do battle
at Stamford Bridge tonight...
To Qualify for the Final, Chelsea need a 0-0 score-line or a
victory of any kind to get through to their first Champions League
Final.
Liverpool will reach the final if they win by any score-line. If
the match finishes the same as the 1st leg - 1-1 - the match will
go into Extra Time. A high scoring draw will see Liverpool through
to the Final (2-2, 3-3 etc).
Corners
A look at the stats tells us Chelsea average 5.2 Corners For at
home in the Champions League (CL) this season, and 3.2 Corners
Against. Liverpool average 4.2 Corners For per away game and 5.6
Against. Both these teams' stats match-up well for a 'low' Corner
affair in tonight's game.
Also...
If we take a look at the previous meetings between these two clubs
in the Champions League, an 'Under 10 Corners' bet would have won
100% of the time:
CL 2006/7 - Semi Final
Chelsea 1 Liverpool 0
Total Corners: 7
CL 2005/6 - Group Stage
Chelsea 0 Liverpool 0
Total Corners: 4
CL 2004/5 - Semi Final
Chelsea 0 Liverpool 0
Total Corners: 8
The Stats Say:
- '10 or Less Corners' @ 5/6 with Paddy Power (and a saver on
'Exactly 11' @ 15/2)
Or
- 'Under 10, 10.5 Corners' @ 9/10 with Bet365 (Asian Total
Corners). This means if there are 9 Corners or less your bet wins.
If there are 10 Corners Exactly, half your stake wins and the other
half is returned.

Bookings
Chelsea have 'low' Bookings Stats at home in the Champions League
this season, averaging 12.0 Bookings Points For (eg. 1 Yellow Card)
and 12.0 Against. Liverpool's away Bookings Stats are much higher
than the home side's - 25.0 For, 17.0 Against. The stats indicate
Liverpool getting more Bookings Points than Chelsea in tonight's
game.
The Stats Say:
- Liverpool to be the 'Team Awarded the Most Cards' @ 11/10
with Ladbrokes
Or
- Liverpool to be the 'Team Awarded the Most Bookings Points' @
21/20 with Blue Square and 888 Sport
Also...
Have a stake saver bet on the 'Bookings Draw' @ 4/1 with William
Hill.

awarded in that period do not count towards the total that the bet
will be settled on.
