This is where the Champions League gets REALLY exciting...

Last Friday the draw was made for the Quarter Final stage and
beyond, mapping out the tournament all the way to the Final.

With 4 Premier League clubs in the final 8, there was the
possibility of an all-English match-up, and so it proved...

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2007/08 - QUARTER FINAL DRAW

Roma v Manchester United
1st leg Tues 1st April, 2nd leg Wed 9th April

Best Odds to qualify:
Roma 2/1, Man Utd 1/2

A case of history repeating here - Roma and Man Utd were drawn
together in last year's Quarter Finals too. After losing the first
leg 2-1 in Rome, Man Utd won the tie with a memorable 7-1 win in
the 2nd leg at Old Trafford.

These two also both qualified from Group F in this year's
competition, meaning they've already played each other twice this
season - a 1-1 draw in Rome and a 1-0 Man Utd home win.

The bookies make Man Utd the 1/2 favourites to win this tie and
progress to the Semi Finals.

Schalke v Barcelona
1st leg Tues 1st April, 2nd leg Wed 9th April

Best Odds to qualify:
Schalke 7/2, Barcelona 1/4

2005/06 winners Barcelona are the big favourites to win through
here at 1/4.

Arsenal v Liverpool
1st leg Wed 2nd April, 2nd leg Tues 8th April

Best Odds to qualify:
Arsenal 5/6, Liverpool 11/10

The 'all-English' tie. Arsenal are 2nd in the Premier League,
Liverpool are 4th. The teams will play each other three times in a
week in April, as they face each other in the league as well as in
the Quarter Finals.

The bookies make this the closest one to call, with Arsenal the
slight favourites at 5/6. Whatever happens, there will definitely
be an English team in the Semi Finals!

Fenerbahce v Chelsea
1st leg Wed 2nd April, 2nd leg Tues 8th April

Best Odds to qualify:
Fenerbahce 7/2, Chelsea 1/4

Another short favourite here, with Chelsea just 1/4 to win the tie.
If they do, they'll face Arsenal or Liverpool in the Semis...

SEMI FINAL DRAW

Arsenal OR Liverpool    v     Fenerbahce OR Chelsea

Schalke OR Barcelona    v     Roma OR Manchester United

As if the Quarter Final draw isn't exciting enough, there's also
the prospect of another all-English match-up, or a Barcelona v Man
Utd Semi Final.

One thing's for sure - there are some massive games to look forward
to, and plenty of betting opportunities to cash-in on...

Who's going to make it to the Final?

There's a lot of football to be played yet, but the bookies have
got a couple of 'Specials' bets up if you think you can predict the
finalists from that draw. In the 'Winning Nation' market 'England'
is the 2/5 favourite. All the other countries - Spain, Italy,
Germany and Turkey - have just one representative each.

Paddy Power have a 'Name the Finalists' market up. They make a
'Chelsea v Man Utd' or a 'Chelsea v Barcelona' final their
favourite at 4/1 each. English fans can also get 13/2 for a 'Man
Utd v Arsenal' final or 7/1 for 'Man Utd v Liverpool'. The big
outsider here is 'Schalke v Fenerbahce' at 100/1.

Who's the favourite?

Here's how the Champions League Winner market looks after last
week's draw:

Team

Best Odds to win Champions League

Barcelona

7/2 Ladbrokes

Man Utd

7/2 Boylesports

Chelsea

7/2 (in general)

Arsenal

6/1

Liverpool

7/1

Roma

14/1 Coral / Paddy Power

Schalke

50/1

Fenerbahce

66/1

It's no surprise that the three teams that are odds-on favourites
to win their Quarter Finals are also the favourites to go on and
lift the trophy. There's not much to choose between Barcelona, Man
Utd and Chelsea with all of them available at 7/2 with the bookies.

We'll be keeping an eye on all the markets between now and the
Quarter Finals, and we'll take a look at the Top Scorer list in
your email next week too.

In the meantime you can find the Best Odds for ALL your football
bets at our free new Odds Comparison website:

I can't wait for the next round of games on 1st April... Look out
for your next Champions League update email next week. Until then,
enjoy the domestic football over the Easter weekend.

Best wishes,
